Traveling to San Miguel
San Miguel is situated in central Mexico, around a 4 hour drive or an hour long flight from Mexico City. There are a few options for traveling to the city, but we would recommend traveling through one of the following airports:
- From Mexico City- taking a bus (around $40/£30) or a car service (around $200/£160), or a flight to Queretaro airport or Leon airport for a shorter drive to San Miguel
- From Queretaro- there are bus services from QRO to San Miguel de Allende for around $30/£20, or taxis from around $100/£70
- From Leon- there are bus services from BJX to San Miguel de Allende for around $30/£20, or taxis from around $100/£70
- We will be setting up a scheduled bus service from both local airports (Queretaro and Leon) on Thursday, September 25th - times to be decided and communicated later
Travelling to Casa Adela
The wedding venue, Casa Adela, is just outside of San Miguel in Atotonilco. A short 10 minute drive from central San Miguel de Allende, it's accessible by a local taxi or by Uber.
On the day of the wedding, we will be putting on a shuttle service from a central location to the venue, as well as a return service- more details will be provided closer to the date of the wedding.
Travelling from the UK
The easiest options for travel from the UK will likely be via a connecting flight to or through one of the three options- Mexico City, Leon (Guanajuato BJX) or Queretaro- via a US airport, or to Mexico City and then an internal flight to one of the other two airports.
- There are direct flights from Heathrow to Mexico City through BA or Aeromexico, where it would be possible to drive down to San Miguel, or to take an internal flight to one of the closer airports
- There is a frequent connection via United Airlines from Houston to Leon
- There is a frequent connecting flight via American Airlines from Dallas to Queretaro
